One desk for fuel and what moves it.
Marine fuel and everything that moves it, sourced, scheduled, and delivered by one desk. More than sourcing product, it is operational execution: principals with over two decades of brokerage and logistics experience behind every grade, across 66 supply locations worldwide, with a team that runs the order end to end so a fleet works one number, not a chain of vendors.

What we do
Fuel, the logistics that move it, and the operational backbone behind both, carried on one desk.
Marine fuel supply
MGO, F-76, VLSFO, HSFO, ULSD, JP-5, JP-8, gasoline, kerosene, and specialty marine fuels, sourced to the grade the vessel and the mission require.
Bunker logistics & delivery
Barge, truck, terminal, pipeline, and coordinated port-side fueling, lined up around the vessel's schedule and the port's constraints.
Government & defense support
Mission-critical vessel fueling, remote delivery, and time-sensitive execution for government and defense programs.
International marine operations
Cross-border sourcing, customs coordination, and difficult-port logistics across a network of 66 supply locations on five continents.
Across the board
Ten services on one desk. Scroll the list, the frame keeps pace with the work.
- 01
Marine bunkers
One-stop provision of marine fuel grades, MGO, F-76, VLSFO, HSFO, ULSD, JP-5, JP-8, gasoline, and kerosene, for government and commercial fleets. We source the grade a vessel needs and coordinate it to the ship, so bunkering stays a single conversation with one desk.

- 02
Specialty fuels
Ancillary and specialized grades for fleets whose requirements run beyond standard bunkers. We carry the specialty side of the order alongside the primary fuel so nothing is sourced piecemeal.

- 03
Lubricating oils
Luboils and related marine consumables supplied with the fuel order. Keeping consumables on the same desk means one point of contact for everything that keeps a vessel running. We also cover fuel filtration, heating-tank servicing and removal, and tank painting, so shore-side tank services stay on the same desk too.

- 04
Oil booms
Spill-containment equipment and support, in keeping with a safety-first posture. We help fleets put the right containment in place around a fueling operation.

- 05
Port logistics
Coordinated delivery and on-port handling so the fuel reaches the vessel cleanly. We line up the logistics around each call rather than leaving them to the client.

- 06
Trading & brokerage
Experienced traders and brokers on every deal. Principals with two decades on the desk means deals are priced at fair market and structured to hold up.

- 07
Strategy & risk management
In-house strategy and risk-management consulting. We run a risk and safety check on every order and advise on the wider fueling strategy when a client wants it.

- 08
Multimodal delivery
Delivery by land and sea, barge, truck, terminal, and pipeline, coordinated to the last mile. Whatever mode the port and timing call for, we stay on it until the fuel is alongside and the job is closed out.

- 09
Dredging & marine services
Beyond fuel, SAK executes marine civil work: coastal, port, and channel maintenance dredging, and underwater sediment removal. In February 2025 that meant dredging support for the Baltimore Key Bridge reconstruction.

- 10
Emergency & disaster response
When infrastructure fails, fuel still has to move. SAK's emergency-delivery experience dates to Hurricane Sandy in 2012, supporting FEMA and Veterans Affairs medical centers through hurricanes, flooding, and snow storms, with 24/7 sourcing when the notice is short.

Marine fuel supply is more than sourcing product. It is execution.
Delays, customs, limited infrastructure, vessel schedules, and regional constraints can turn a routine bunker into a complex operation.
SAK Industries pairs principals with over two decades of brokerage and logistics experience with hands-on coordination to deliver fuel where and when it is needed. Our team manages the process end to end, solving operational challenges and keeping the moving parts aligned so vessels stay supplied and operations keep moving.
What governs the barrel.
The rules the fuel is bought and burned under. We quote against them rather than around them, and we say which of our supply areas they bite in.
- 01
Sulphur limits
MARPOL Annex VI caps fuel sulphur at 0.50% m/m globally, and at 0.10% inside an Emission Control Area. The carriage of non-compliant fuel without an approved abatement system has been prohibited since March 2020.
- 02
Emission Control Areas
Two of our supply areas sit inside an ECA and take the 0.10% limit: US Pacific Northwest (5) and Europe (4). Rotterdam and Antwerp fall in the North Sea SECA, Valencia and Sagunto in the Mediterranean SECA in force since 1 May 2025, and the Puget Sound berths in the North American ECA. Every other area in the network takes the 0.50% cap.
- 03
EU Emissions Trading System
Voyages to, from and between EU ports fall under the maritime ETS, phased in at 40% of 2024 emissions, 70% of 2025, and 100% from 2026 onward. It applies to ships above 5,000 GT and the allowance cost sits with the shipping company, not the fuel.
- 04
FuelEU Maritime
Fully applicable since 1 January 2025. It sets a greenhouse-gas intensity limit on the energy used on board rather than a limit on any one fuel, starting at 2% below the 2020 baseline and tightening to 80% by 2050. Biofuel blends are one of the routes to compliance.
Marine grades are sold against ISO 8217. The edition and the sulphur figure are set per stem and confirmed at nomination, because sulphur is a contract parameter rather than a property of a viscosity grade: an RMG 380 can be delivered inside or outside the 0.50% cap.
